August 27, 2025 — Last week, Governor Maura Healey visited Nantucket to see firsthand the progress our island is making toward solving the housing crisis. Her visit included a tour of Wiggles Way, Housing Nantucket’s newly completed workforce housing development on Fairgrounds Road.

Wiggles Way is home to 22 new rental apartments, designed to serve year-round workers and families who are essential to keeping Nantucket’s community strong. The development demonstrates what’s possible when state and local leaders, nonprofits, and community partners come together with a shared goal: ensuring island workers can live where they work.

During her visit, Governor Healey praised the collective efforts behind Wiggles Way and emphasized her commitment to advancing housing solutions across Massachusetts.
