Donating
House Donations
If you are in a position to do so, please consider donating your structurally sound dwelling to Housing Nantucket. We will do our best to find it a "new home".
We are a 501(c)3 private non-profit & have created a helpful document to understand the tax implications of your donation- Donating for the Benefit of Affordable Housing. You will also want to review IRS Publication-526. Please contact us to discuss in further detail.
The majority of our 26 rental units were moved from private property to our land, which is in scattered sites around the island. Your dwelling could be next in providing island families with a year-round, affordable place to live. Even if your house doesn’t meet our current needs for rental homes, we may be able to accept your house if we are able to find it a new owner.
By filling out the following questionnaire below, we will get a better picture of your situation. You may email it to anne(at)housingnantucket.org or fill out House Donation Form(pdf) by hand.

Funding Partners
Housing Nantucket has a long tradition of working pro-actively with many local, state, federal, and non-profit partners to utilize community resources to expand affordable community housing opportunities. Grant funding from the Community Preservation Committee and the Community Development Block Grant have been used to provide new programs to island residents. We have also received funding from the Tupancy Harris Foundation of 1984 and the Bank of America Foundation. Successful partnerships rest at the core of Housing Nantucket's innovative approach to developing housing.
Donate Funds
Our teachers, firefighters, police, administrators, service workers, and long term residents are all central to our future as a community.
Your tax-deductible donation to Housing Nantucket will help us meet the pressing needs.
